Chicken Girl
BFI short film

Written, directed by, and starring Em Humble, tragicomedy, Chicken Girl, follows a delusional young woman’s obsession with chickens and golden eggs. With the assistance of her “better half”, Gary (Tristan Robinson), Chicken Girl is loving her chickens to death. Inspired by Grey Gardens and What We Do in the Shadows, this “college documentary” follows a deranged couple’s journey to gold.

She hacked into Em’s social media to upload a video of her trying to justify hitting northerners with her car and she’s somehow got rid of the delete button?! Em does not condone Alexandra’s behaviour in any way, shape, or horse.

Leeds Tealights

From 2016 - 2019, Em was a member, then president of 5-star-reviewed sketch comedy group, The Leeds Tealights. They wrote and performed 9 original shows to audiences across the UK and at month-long runs of the Edinburgh Fringe; hosted the infamous Sketch-Off; and performed alongside best friends: Cambridge Footlights, Oxford Revue, Durham Revue, St. Andrew’s Revue, and Bristol Revunions.

A Northern Guide

Em Humble takes you on a magical mystery tour™ of the small northern village of Rydal in the Lake District.

She explores significant historical and geographical features, such as: Rydal Hall, Rydal Cavern, Rydal Water, and Wordsworth.

The Girls of St. Trinian’s Musical

Em Humble and Joseph Callaghan co-wrote brand new, girl-powered comedy musical, The Girls of St. Trinian’s, which debuted in Leeds as part of the online Edinburgh Fringe 2021.

Comedy Hour on BBC Radio Tees

A 5-episode, collaborative radio sketch comedy series, appearing monthly on BBC Radio Tees, hosted by Rachel Teate. Em helped to write, voice, and edit over 25 sketches.
